I gave a presentation at the IREC 2019 regarding the design and build process of our diamond airfoil fins. The algorithm discussed in the video supports OpenRocket integration, and will generate a Pareto front of optimal fin planform dimensions, based on the designer’s criteria.

“True North” is a rocket submitted for the 30,000 feet Commercial-Off-The-Shelf category for the IREC 2019. The rocket successfully flew to 26,517 feet and the team placed 5th out of 18 in that category. An analysis of the flight data is hosted on the team’s Github page. It compares the predicted flight path to the actual path.
